1. Information We Collect

The only personal identifiers we collect about you are your name and email address. We do not ask for, access, or store your phone contacts, photos, location, or any other personal data on your device. Any financial data in the app is information you choose to enter or connect for your own use — it is yours, not ours to mine.

We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, add financial accounts, enter transactions, or contact support. This includes your name, email address, and financial data you choose to enter.

We also collect usage information automatically, including device type, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and general usage patterns (e.g., which features you use most).

We do not collect your bank login credentials. When you connect a bank account, authentication occurs directly between you and your bank — we only receive read-only transaction data via secure API tokens.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the beforeUbuy service
• Process transactions and send related information
• Send technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Monitor and analyse usage patterns to improve the app
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorised activity

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your financial data to train AI models. We do not share your data with advertisers.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. Our servers are hosted on AWS infrastructure with SOC 2 Type II certified data centres.

Financial data is partitioned per user with strict access controls. Our engineering team undergoes regular security training, and we conduct annual third-party security audits.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

4. Information Sharing

• With service providers who assist in operating our service (e.g., AWS for hosting, Stripe for payment processing) — these partners are contractually bound to protect your data
• If required by law, court order, or government regulation
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of beforeUbuy, our users, or the public
• With your explicit consent

We never sell your data. We never share financial data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Your Rights

• Access your personal data at any time from the app (Settings → Export Data)
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Account → Delete Account)
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority

6. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time, using either of the following methods:

• In the app: open beforeUbuy and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This immediately schedules your account and data for deletion.
• By email (no app required): send a request to support@beforeUbuy.club from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete My Data". We will verify your identity and process the request.

When you request deletion, we permanently erase your personal data — including your name, email address, financial accounts, and transactions — from our systems within 30 days. Encrypted backups are purged on their regular rotation cycle, no later than 90 days.

We may retain a limited set of records where required by law (for example, payment or tax records related to a paid subscription). Such records are kept only for the legally mandated period and are not used for any other purpose.

If you have any trouble deleting your data, email support@beforeUbuy.club and we will assist you directly.

7. Cookies & Tracking

Our mobile apps do not use third-party advertising cookies. Our website uses minimal first-party analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which pages are most visited). We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. This will not affect your ability to use the beforeUbuy mobile app.

8. Children's Privacy

beforeUbuy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately at support@beforeUbuy.club.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of beforeUbuy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
